Deborah Burton – Founder Senior’s Choice Consulting
I have worked in various roles in healthcare, public health research and elder advocacy for almost 30 years.
I enjoy public speaking and have given presentations for dozens of groups who want to learn more about aging safely in the community. I host #WhatsUpWednesday on the Senior’s Choice Consulting Facebook page where I discuss some of the most current issues in the field of aging.
I hold a Master’s of Science in Gerontology in the Management of Aging Services and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I am a member of Sigma Phi Omega (SPO), the International Academic Honor and Professional Society in Gerontology. I am also a member of the Gerontological Society of America.
Since 2012, I have been a regular participant in the Rhode Island Lieutenant Governors Long Term Care Coordinating Council (LTCCC). The LTCCC addresses issues that affect Seniors’ quality of life. I am a previous member of the Legislative and Aging in Community subcommittees.
I spend my free time reading gerontology journals and keeping up to date in the field of aging.
Most importantly, I am passionate about sharing information about Elder Care and Elder Issues!
